Using the Range
Our standard range fee is $25 per guest for an all-day range pass. Lanes are available on a first-come, first-served basis. During busy periods, staff may ask guests who have been using a lane for an extended period to make room for waiting guests.
No. Point Blank Range is open to the public and no membership is required to use the range. Membership options are available for frequent shooters who want additional benefits and savings.
Wait times vary based on location, day and time. During busy periods there may be a wait for a lane. Our team will get you on the range as quickly as possible.
Lane reservations may be available for eligible members and specific range programs. General public range use is otherwise available on a first-come, first-served basis. Contact the range if you have questions about reservation availability.
Yes. Friends and family are welcome. Range fees and guest benefits vary depending on membership status. Non-shooting guests may watch from designated viewing areas when available.
Up to four people sharing a lane may be on the range at one time, with only one person shooting from the stall at a time. All additional members of the party must wait in the showroom. Party members may rotate, following Range Safety Officer instructions. Keep the area clear so Range Safety Officers can see what is happening. Everyone entering the range must complete the required safety process.
Safety is our first priority. Shooters must complete the required safety orientation and follow all posted range rules and Range Safety Officer instructions. Range Safety Officers oversee range activity during normal business hours.
Yes. Families are welcome at Point Blank Range. Please keep in mind that age requirements and supervision rules apply to minors using or entering the range.
Yes. Guests must be age 21 or older to shoot a handgun and age 18 or older to shoot a long gun. Minors must be accompanied by an adult age 21 or older. Children under age 8 are not permitted on the range.

Ammunition must comply with current Point Blank Range rules. Certain ammunition types are prohibited. Please review our Range Rules before your visit or ask a Range Safety Officer if you are unsure whether your ammunition is permitted.
Yes, you may bring your own ammunition for your own firearm as long as it complies with Point Blank Range ammunition rules. All rental firearms must use ammunition purchased from Point Blank Range.
You may retrieve your own brass when it can be done safely and without crossing the firing line. Never reach or place any part of your body across the firing line. Follow all Range Safety Officer instructions.
Yes. Rifles may be used on the range subject to current firearm and ammunition restrictions. Please review the Range Rules or contact the range if you have questions about a specific caliber or firearm.
Yes. Shotguns may be used on the range with slugs only. Buckshot and birdshot are not permitted.
No. Drawing from a holster is not permitted during general range use.
Rapid fire is not permitted unless specifically authorized by a Range Safety Officer. Shooters must maintain control of their firearm and follow all Range Safety Officer instructions.
Yes. Point Blank Range offers a selection of rental handguns, rifles and shotguns, giving you an opportunity to try different firearms before deciding what may be right for you. Our semi-auto rental program is $25 and allows you to switch between available semi-auto rental firearms during your range visit.
Yes. Our indoor ranges use dedicated ventilation systems designed to move air downrange and help maintain a comfortable shooting environment.
Yes. Eye and ear protection is available at Point Blank Range. Ask our team when you check in if you need either for your range visit.
Yes. Customers may shoot personally owned fully automatic firearms subject to current range rules and management approval. Shooters are responsible for maintaining control of their firearm, and a $75 charge applies for each stray hit to range equipment or infrastructure.
Yes. Range Safety Officers oversee range activity, enforce range rules and help maintain a safe shooting environment during normal business hours.
Point Blank Range Mooresville has 15 shooting lanes and Matthews has 20 shooting lanes. Both locations feature 25-yard indoor ranges.
Our indoor ranges feature programmable target systems that allow shooters to control target distance from the shooting lane. Range Safety Officers can also assist with target setup and shooting drills when appropriate.
Certain tactical and dynamic training activities may be permitted during approved training, private instruction or organized events. Contact Point Blank Range for current options and requirements.
Patriot Gun Club Memberships
Patriot Gun Club (PGC), also called PGC VIP, is Point Blank Range's premium membership program, offering expanded benefits including 24/7 range access for eligible members. Visit our Patriot Gun Club page for current benefits and membership options.

No. Patriot Gun Club memberships are non-transferable. Please review the current membership agreement for complete terms and conditions.
All memberships require a one-year commitment, whether paid annually or monthly, and automatically renew for another one-year term unless canceled. Email cancellation requests to info@pointblankrange.com at least 30 days before renewal. If you cancel during the committed year, remaining payments may be waived on a case-by-case basis.
PGC members receive 24/7 access. All new members must attend a 30-minute orientation covering safety procedures, range rules, and the facility layout. Biometric access is used to enter the building after hours.
PGC members must be able to pass a NICS background check. No additional background check is required.
Retail Pro Shop

Yes. Point Blank Range is a Class 3 dealer offering NFA items including suppressors. Our team can help explain the current purchase, transfer and application process.
Training Academy
Point Blank Range offers training for new and experienced shooters, including beginner-focused courses, private instruction, North Carolina Concealed Carry training, intermediate and advanced programs, workshops and instructor-level courses. Services
Yes. Point Blank Range offers armorer services including firearm cleaning, maintenance, diagnostics and basic repairs. Service availability depends on the firearm, the work required and the capabilities of the armorer on duty.
Yes. Firearm cleaning services are available to everyone. Current pricing is $40 for handguns and $50 for long guns.
Other Questions
No. Point Blank Range does not have a designated children's play area. Children must remain under the direct supervision of a parent or legal guardian while at the facility.
