Don’t buy!!! The quality is terrible to the point of unusable.
I have a couple of Bersa pistols that are made well and fun to shoot, so I thought I’d give their BERSA AR15 16 MFT MLOK a try.
What a mistake
This gun is so out of specs it’s unbelievable. None of my magazines fit properly. The rifle won’t chamber a round. The magazine well is so out of spec It’s difficult insert a mag and half the time it won’t chamber a round. I even had the gunsmith at my gun club look at it. He said he couldn’t fix it was so out of spec, told me to return it to BERSA. So I sent it back for warranty thinking I simply got a bad one.
Received the rifle back today with the same problems. None of my magazines fit, not my metal colts, Pmag gen3 or my Mission tactical mags fit. You have to use a lot of force to jam them into the mag well which makes it impossible to remove. When you do insert a magazine it jams. In communication with warranty people they implied i was using bad magazines and I wasn’t loading it properly. I spent 5 year as a Navy Corpsmen with Marines and I have 3 other AR’s, I pretty sure I have the loading process down. When using my other rifles these same mags simply drop out when you release them.
The quality of the BERSA A/R Is terrible I wouldn’t buy it. I understand it’s inexpensive but it’s truly worthless, last thing I want to deal with at the range is wrestle with this weapon. I have no choice but to buy a new lower and use this one for parts. Very disappointing, I know you get what you pay for however these rifles are junk!
The one thing I will say was a positive the service manager I spoke with at BERSUSA in Georgia was very helpful. He tried his best to make me happy.
I only wish their rifles were half as good.
